In the 1700s and 1800s overshot weavers wrote out their drafts very differently than we do today.

In this course you’ll learn how to make heads or tails of four different styles of olde timey overshot threadings:

  • Ordered long drafts,
  • Unordered long drafts,
  • Unordered short drafts, and
  • Ordered short drafts, aka Scottish drafts

You’ll also learn how to tell whether a draft uses the odd vs even tabby we’re used to or something else, as well as how to use an old fashioned threading as a treadling.

This course is a must for anyone who wants to weave authentic reproductions of historical drafts, for weavers who want to use drafts that are only available in one of the older styles, and for folks who just plain want to know everything there is to know about overshot.
